Dear Parish Family, As we enter into the third week of Lent and dive father into our Lenten journey, are you seeing the light and progress that Jesus wants us to, see? Many of you remember Lewis Carroll's book — The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland. Although it is the epitome of fiction, there are so many lessons to uncover from the topsy-turvy world of this book and also the world we live in today. "Everything has a moral, if only you can find it." We search through our own lives on this side of the looking glass to find these lessons. Do you search for wisdom, clarity, a sense of purpose and peace? Although this is a book seemingly written for children, it is more for adults. It reminds us to often see things through a child's eyes and see rules and social etiquette through the innocence of childhood and into adulthood. Do we distort reality for our own purpose? Life is a great puzzle. Am I trying to find out about the world, but also my own identity? "Who in the world am l" is another famous quote from this author. Do we search for answers during this very troubled time to understand why is God allowing these horrific atrocities? Who am l, and how can I help or make a difference in my life and the lives of others? Many of us do not understand the impact of going back to yesterday because I was a different person then. On this Lenten journey, let's look into who we are and where are we today as we pray for our loving God to guide and protect us. Mary Jo
