Dear Parishioners and Friends,
In his pastoral note, Led by the Spirit on Mission, Archbishop Vigneron writes: “We continue to live the graces of Synod 16, and seek to unleash the Gospel in southeast Michigan. The Blessed Mother remains our guiding star – shining all the brighter when our surroundings are darkest. She is our companion in the work of evangelization. Like those first disciples, we too have been asked to unite and go on mission together in Families of Parishes. Each parish – like each member of our Church – has gifts which contribute to the full flourishing of our Archdiocese. Families of Parishes will begin to take shape on July 1, 2021. By July 2022 all of our parishes will be part of their new Families.”
Assigned to Wave 2 – July 1, 2022, St. Mark Parish will join Our Lady of Grace (Vietnamese), St. Anne, St. Faustina, St. Louise de Marillac, and St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families. Over the years, we have already collaborated with our neighboring parishes in various areas of evangelization and pastoral activities. We are all sharing in the very mission of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has called us to live as His faithful disciples. The Holy Spirit inspires us to be open and to listen to one another, as we learn to enrich each other with spiritual and ministerial wisdom, and together announce the Good News of salvation.
