Dear Parish Family, Did you ever “feel” something and yet not know where it is coming from or more importantly what you are supposed to do? A cry for help may be in your own home, from a friend, or that inner voice that tells us we need to use our time, talents, and resources to answer. The adage STOP, LOOK and LISTEN may apply! God hears our cries for help! Ishmail (Gen 2:7), Hannah (Samuel 1:15), and Jehoshaphat(Chronicles 20) are only a few of the places in the bible that God answered these outcries. Even Jonah in the belly of the whale cried out and his prayers were answered. Ever wonder why do I cry in Church? The presence of God can move us to tears. Our emotions are heightened in the presence of the Holy Spirit. When feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, or loss are overwhelming, we only need to turn to our heavenly Father and He will help with our distress. Family, friends, or even a stranger may be reaching out in need of help. Let us all be aware and Unleash the Gospel in terms of kindness. Mary Jo
