The celebration of Memorial Day is one of our most patriotic observances. It touches our spirit to honor those who died defending our democracy and freedom. Where would we be without the brave men and women who did not sacrifice for us as Americans? George Washington warned us to “guard against the imposture of pretended patriotism.” This is true then and now!
Courage is often defined as giving something bigger than oneself. Billy Graham said “courage is contagious. When a brave man or woman takes a stand, the spine of others is more defined.”
The Parish Office will be closed on Monday, May 30th and reopen on Tuesday, May 31st at 9:00am. Phones will be monitored for funerals or urgent care.
For some, this marks the kick off to summer. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.
