Dear Parish Family,
 
Children – such a great blessing!!! If not children, who is the future of the Church, the world and our lives? Pope  Francis has designated May 25 and 26 as “World Children’s Day.”  He tells the children that changing the world starts with “please and thank you.” “Each child is precious and reminds them they are a positive sign of everyone’s desire to grow and flourish.” Kids are a joy to their families and the entire human family. The Holy Father tells them to listen to stories and emulate the goodness of others.
 
Let us not  forget the many children who are suffering throughout the world, be it those battling illness, famine, war, violence, unable to be schooled, separated from their loved ones or trafficked. We must pay attention and listen to children. They hear us and we must hear them. We can create a fraternal society through sharing with one another.
 
Please join Pope Frances in this prayer.
 
“Come, Holy Spirit, show us your beauty, reflected in the faces of children all over the world.  Come Jesus, you who make all things new, who are the way that leads us to the Father, come and remain with us always.
 Amen”
 
May our loving God bless all the children of the world and mold them into the best version of themselves.
